June 7th update 1.011 and Name Change


Hi! First I would like to explain that we were asked to change this game's name from BOREAL TALES to BOREAL TENEBRAE. 

A fellow game creator reached out to us and explained that they had created an educational game of the same name previously, and that although we had made Films and VR experiences of this name in the past, they held the trademark on the name as it pertained to videogames.

So long story short, the game is now called BOREAL TENEBRAE! Here is the list of fixes in the new update: (huge thanks to Steam user: ‘Name’ for pointing a lot of these out!)

-Fixed autosave in Forrest

-Fixed the ‘Deeper Still’ Text in Dark Mill

-You can no longer revisit the Dark Suburbs after completing them

-Various spelling and grammar fixes

-Fixed glitch in Dark Suburbs where People were freezing after finding hand.

-Fixed the glitch where people were getting hung up at nicole's house in the bathroom

-Fixed graphical glitch where the bird, when going on deck for the first time, is visible in player view, loaded but not moving and snaps into motion upon approaching.

-Fixed graphical glitch when coming back into the mill post first aid, all employees briefly visible then disappear.

-fixed error for when you return to the Mill’s office after giving up the first aid kit. The dialog no longer says "i gotta get out of here" for all items and you can no longer enter the forest this way.

-Worked on making the game launch faster from desktop

-The pause menu will now pause some story pertinent audio.

-The "sorry for the hold up come on back" trigger in the trailer is no longer repeatable.

-Fixed glitch that was getting players stuck in the forest sequence.

-removed cars from suburban scenes
